If you are just stopping by for a visit from Karel's blog, One by One the Flamingos are Stealing my Sanity, Christy is hosting a Make-the-Cut Blog Hop for the whole month of May. Each day she will link up to a Make-the-Cut user and you can bet on some pretty awesome projects!

Those of us participating in this hop want to share our love of an amazing cutting software with you. If you haven't heard of Make-the-Cut, or you are on the fence about purchasing MTC, you should definitely check out all the wonderful crafters and their amazing projects. Just visit Christy at Every Day Little Things to get the complete lineup.
I wanted to share a project I just completed for our end of school 'Teacher Appreciation' gift. My daughter found the mug and so I thought this bouquet of flowers would be perfect with the kids faces in the centers. I created my own svg files and cut them using my MTC software. It turned out a little more 'full' than I thought but I still like it.

Cute right?? And so easy using Make-the-Cut. If you already own MTC you can download the free flower frames I used by clicking the following link: FLOWER FRAMES
For the occasional free svg/mtc files follow my blog. There are also lots of other designers out there who share free files to cut with the MTC software, making it even more fabulous!!

Thank You Troops!

I was recently invited to a facebook event where the participants are making 'Thank You' cards for our troops and posting them here as well as on facebook. I was in a bit of a rush last night getting things ready for a great weekend with our in-laws, so I didn't have nearly the time I wanted to work on this card. I thought it turned out pretty good considering my time constraints!

If any of our troops or their families are seeing this post today I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for everything you do. Being a military wife, I know first hand that the recent events have boosted moral when our military really needed it. While justice has been done, it will never help us forget. We will always remember. God Bless.

Guest Designer Day and More..

Today is my day to step up to the plate at Karel's blog, One by One the Flamingos are Stealing My Sanity. The theme this month is 'May Flowers'. I decided to create a Mother's Day Card with ribbon flowers. I wanted the flowers to be the focus of the card so I kept everything pretty simple.

These are so easy to make.
The recipe for this card is simple:
~ Each flower is made up of 4 (3 1/2") ribbons.
~ I hand cut the flower stems and leaves.
~ I cut the cardstock and the crinkle paper using my standard paper cutter
~ I did a print and cut on the vellum oval using Make-The-Cut.
~ I added stickles (probably too much) and that's it!
Sounds so easy, right?
All month long you will have chances to win my 'May Comments Giveaway'. To get the details and start commenting click HERE.

I am also still looking for two people for my 'All Jacked Up in June' Blog Hop. For details about this hop please click HERE. Please read in detail before commiting.

OK....information overload I know, but just wanted to share all the goings on around here will all my fab followers.

Have a great day and keep scrappin'.

Looking for June Hoppers!!

I am planning an "All Jacked Up in June" Blog hop for June 4th and 5th. I need to fill 5 more slots. If you are interested PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING before you commit!

Projects can be altered "jacked up" items, cocktail themed projects (of course, I had to add this one!), or you can use those "jacked up" scraps going to waste and create a project.

  • This must be the only hop you are participating in on these days. This is my first hop and I want it to be a priority on your blogs. Also, this will help avoid any confusion.

  • You must preschedule your posts or be up to post them at the scheduled time (12:01 am EST 6/4/2011). They must include photos of your completed projects. I will check everyone's blogs shortly after post time. If you do not have a post up or if your post is missing a project , I will remove your blog from the lineup and notify the person listed before you immediately. So double check your blog's time zone and schedule appropriately.

  • You must list links to the person before and after you in your post. Double check the links when composing your post. It's just silly to have a bad link when it only takes a minute to check them.

  • Please DO NOT list the entire linup on your blog. To avoid any confusion simply add this statement at the bottom of your post: "If you get lost along the way, please visit for the complete lineup".

I will send out a reminder email prior to the hop. You must reply back to this email. If I don't hear back from you by June 1st, I will remove your blog from the lineup.

PLEASE DO NOT sign up for this hop if anything I have listed will be an issue for you.
Ok, the mean lady is out of rules...ha ha.

Also, While you're here you should definitely get in on my "May Comments Giveaway". To check out the details, click HERE.
